How do I calculate GP percentage?

Divide gross profit by sales revenue, then multiply by 100. If gross profit is $40,000 on $100,000 of sales, GP percentage is 40%.

Is GP percentage the same as gross margin?

Yes in ordinary management reporting. GP percentage, gross profit percentage and gross margin percentage normally describe gross profit divided by revenue.

What is the difference between GP percentage and markup?

GP percentage divides profit by the selling price or revenue. Markup divides profit by cost. The same transaction therefore has a different margin percentage and markup percentage.
