How this calculator works
The answer does not change between Quick and Detailed. This is the professional finance underneath it — the formula, assumptions and mechanics you can inspect when you want the extra detail.
Cost per click
CPC = ad spend ÷ clicks. It states exactly what each recorded click cost over the period entered.
CPM and CTR relationship
When CTR is expressed as a decimal fraction, CPC = CPM ÷ (1,000 × CTR). When CTR is entered as a percentage number, CPC = CPM ÷ (10 × CTR%). This relationship is arithmetic; whether a CPC is commercially acceptable depends on conversion and customer economics.
