Also show revenue after entered sales fees?

Optional sensitivity only. It is not the standard ROAS definition and still is not profit.

Frequently asked questions

What is ROAS?

ROAS (return on ad spend) is the revenue your ad returns per dollar of ad spend. A 3× ROAS means each $1 of ad returns $3 of revenue; the cross-over threshold to break even depends on your gross margin and any per-sale fees.

ROAS

How is ROAS different from marketing ROI?

ROAS is a revenue figure — revenue ÷ ad spend. ROI is a profit figure — (revenue × margin − ad cost) ÷ ad cost. A 4× ROAS can still be unprofitable if the margin is low and the fees are heavy.

ROAS

What counts as "ad spend"?

The all-in amount you paid to run the ads — media + any agency or platform fee, plus the cost of creative production if it is a campaign-level amount. Channel-level fixed overhead is excluded so the read stays comparable across channels.

ROAS

Why enter my own fees instead of trusting a default?

Fees vary by processor, channel and country. Stripe and PayPal vary, marketplaces vary, and AdTech platform fees vary. Entering the fees you actually pay matches the math to your statement.
